Grounding Climate Emotions, Growing Climate Action
Welcome to The Nest
The climate crisis affects more than the planet; it affects our bodies, emotions, relationships, and sense of future. The Nest was created to give students a supportive space to feel, process, and respond with grounded courage.
Nest Circles are peer-led gatherings where students come together to process the feelings that arise in a changing climate; emotions like worry, grief, anger, overwhelm, hope, or numbness. These reactions are called climate emotions, and they are completely normal. They show up in our bodies, thoughts, and daily lives as we witness environmental change and uncertainty about the future.
In a Nest Circle, we slow down, reflect, and support one another through guided grounding practices, creative expression, and community conversation. It’s simply a soft, supportive space to breathe, feel, and reconnect with yourself and others.
Nest Circles
Workshops & Skill-Building
Our workshops offer students a calm, supportive space to explore climate emotions through embodied practices, creative reflection, and gentle community dialogue. These sessions are designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and understand how your nervous system responds to a changing world.
Workshops may include grounding exercises, somatic tools, art-based practices, storytelling, and guided reflection; all rooted in trauma-informed, student-centered care. Each one is crafted to help you build resilience, gain clarity, and discover what feels meaningful and manageable for you in this moment.
